Simis Holiday Helping 2017
Simis Families Helping Simis Families

What is Holiday Helping?
Holiday Helping is a wonderful donation-based program at Simis providing assistance to families in our community during the holiday season. Families in need receive:
• basic household items like laundry soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, etc.
• children’s clothing like sweaters, jackets, shirts, pants, and socks.
• educational items like school supplies, books, family board games, puzzles, etc.
Thanks to our amazingly generous community (YOU!), this annual tradition brings joy, encouragement, and support to many families at Simis.

How does it work?
Families in need of assistance complete a request form. The Holiday Helping Committee reviews the forms and based on need, prepares the Holiday Helping Snowmen, which are then distributed school-wide. Each snowman lists an item to be purchased and delivered to the classroom. All gifts are collected, sorted, and then given to the families.

How can I help?
Watch for the Holiday Helping Snowman in your child’s backpack. If you are able to purchase the gift listed on your snowman, please tape your snowman to your unwrapped gift and return it to your child’s classroom.
